PRIDE - An All Queer-Owned Market

  • 89 South St New York (map)
Hester Street Fair is feeling very proud this week, and no, we’re not talkin’ hubris… we are talkin’ HESTER. STREET. FAIR. PRIDE. MARKET… we know; fever, pitch right?!?
For 4 years and counting it’s been an honor, privilege and delight to curate slash host events that celebrate the history, legacy, community & entrepreneurship of those who live, love & befriend status non quo.
With a lineup of over 50 LGBTQIA+ businesses, artists, chefs, DJs & performers participating, this weekend’s Hester Street Fair is going to be a gas! Join us on June 24th from 11am to 6pm at Pier 17 in The Seaport to show your support, solidarity & summer tan. Each year we shine our spotlight on a different set of The Community and this weekend we are thrilled to be supporting Tagmo, Diaspora Co., Desi Rainbow Parents & Allies & our South Asian LGBTQIA+ friends & family.
This party’s not perennial so save the date (and some $$$) ‘cos fomo is trés tacky!
See you this weekend!

Special Programming

Our DJ booth will be HOT with fresh sets from UMA DJ (11 - 2 pm) and DJ Freedem (2 - 6 pm).

Live performance by VJDAMUSICMAN (4:30 - 5 pm)! A queer Indian-American singer-songwriter making Pop, R&B, and Hip-Hop music. He has three studio albums out and he hopes to be able to represent and inspire the newer generations of queer and Asian youth with the message to heal their inner voices until their outside selves are as free as possible.

Our Gender Affirmimg Clothing Swap will be led by our OG vendor Eden’s Harvests along with a few friends. Come by and exchange your valued but no longer used clothing, for clothing that others will use as they make their transition into their true selves.

What’s On The Menu?

Tagmo Treats & Diaspora Co. are cooking up a special menu for this year’s Pride Market. Chef Surbi, founder of Tagmo, started her business right at the Hester Street Fair and now, she has her restaurant down at The Seaport. We love watching our vendors grow into owning and operating their own establishments and since we go so far back with Chef Surbi, we are proud to host her this year as our featured Chef.

Here’s a sneak peek at her Pride Market menu, featuring spices and collaborative dishes from Diaspora Co.
